Develop and implement a SEND and IEP system

Actively promote and demonstrate innovation of strategies to support SEN students

To ensure IEPs are personalised, robust and include targets to give outstanding outcomes for SEND students

Report to Head of Student Support and Wellbeing

Coordinate and collaborate with other counselors and pastoral team members

Liaise with parents to ensure appropriate care of students (full-time only)

Maintain quality school documentation for learning support needs

Refer to and co-ordinate with appropriate professionals outside the school

Be flexible to work with students from Year 7 to Year 13 (British curriculum)

Prepare transition planning for SEND students into KS3, KS4, KS5 and university

Be flexible to the adapting and growing SEN programme

Full-time only: Preferred teaching experience in humanities/ social sciences. Other subjects will be considered.

Part-time only: On-site two to three days a week for planning and implementation

Upon appointment, this member of staff will report directly to the Deputy Headteacher responsible for Student Support and Well-being

Specialization in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordination.

Have worked with students with SEND.

A degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social work or a related field.

Examples of CPD which identifies, refers and demonstrates SEND understanding.

High level of proficiency in English communication (English proficiency test required for Thai-nationals/ non-native speakers).

High level of proficiency in Thai communication preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Classroom teaching experience.

Ability to work independently and to collaborate with a team.
